The Physicians
John D. Konsek, M.D.
A native from Wisconsin, Dr. Konsek is a general surgeon with Greenwood Surgical. He attended Washington University in St. Louis. He is board certified by the American board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He completed his general surgery training in Jacksonville, Florida. He is married and has three children.
J. Brant Parramore, M.D.
A native of Georgia, Dr. Parramore is a general surgeon. He attended the University of Georgia and Medical College of Georgia. He completed his general surgery training at the Medical College of Georgia. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Southeastern Surgical Congress, South Carolina Chapter of the American College of Surgeons. He presently serves as President of the Greenwood County Medical Society. Dr. Parramore is married to Dr. Kathleen Jeffery and they have three children.
Kathleen M. Jeffery, M.D.
Dr. Kathleen Jeffery is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She attended Ohio State University for her undergraduate and medical school education. She completed her general surgery training at the Medical College of Georgia. After her general surgery training Dr. Jeffery was a member of the Surgery Faculty at MCG. She is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also a member of the Southeastern Surgical Society. Dr. Jeffery is married to Dr. Brant Parramore and they have three children.
Jeffrey B. Thomas, M.D.
Major Jeff Thomas joined the Greenwood Surgical team in 2007, after serving in the United States Air Force since 2003. He served as general surgeon in Bagdad from 2004 to 2005 during Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Thomas received his undergraduate degree from Emory University. He attended medical school at the University of Louisville and completed is general surgery training at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Dr. Thomas is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He holds membership in SAGES, Southeastern Surgical Congress, and American Society of Brest Surgeons. Dr. Thomas is married to DeAnna and they have two girls.
Kevin W. Carson, M.D.
Dr. Kevin Carson began his practice of general surgery with Advanced Surgical Associates on December. He received a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the University of Virginia and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. He completed residency training in general surgery at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, S.C., where he served as administrative chief resident for one year. Dr. Carson has been in private practices in Georgia, Louisiana and Greenwood, S.C., since finishing his residency in 2001. He provides an array of general surgical procedures, with a strong focus on breast and colon cancer management, as well as gallbladder disease and hernia repairs.
