Welcome to Express Medical Care and a new
way of healthcare. We’re still close to home
and have the staff you trust, but we’re a lot more
than another doctor’s office these days.
As a part of Self Medical Group, we provide a team
of doctors, family physicians and specialists, nurses
and specially trained staff, all working together for
your health.
We provide access to advanced diagnostics and
specialty services and the resources of the area’s
largest healthcare provider – a complete network of
care for you and your family.
Express Medical Care is not a substitute for a family
physician. Our doctors are trained to treat patients
who need urgent care but not emergency care.
Express care may be an option on weekends or late
at night when your regular family physician is not
seeing patients.
Knowing the Difference
When an illness or accident occurs, it is important to receive the appropriate level of care. Serious illnesses or injuries need to be treated in an emergency care center where you can receive
high-level medical attention and have access to a variety of diagnostic tests, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.Going to an urgent care center for a serious medical condition such as chest pain can delay critically needed care. Please call 911 if you or a family member think you are having a heart attack or stroke.
Primary Care Treatment
Whenever possible, you should visit or consult a primary care physician for the appropriate level
of care. Your family physician will know your health history and make the best recommendations
for treatment.
If you do not have a primary care physician, please call Self Regional Healthcare at (864) 725-6058 or visit www.selfregional.org for the name of a primary care physician in your area.
Express Medical Care and/or the hospital Emergency Care Center do not adequately serve as a replacement for a regular family physician. Well care and preventive medicine, along with regular checkups and physicals, can improve your health.
When you visit Express Medical Care, feel free to ask your nurse or physician how you can be connected with a family medicine physician who best fits you and your family’s needs.
